Lewis Patton
Founder and MD
Head of Underwriting
Lewis brings to the team a wealth of insurance knowledge, with his skillset extending across underwriting and portfolio management, distribution, strategy, advanced technology, and mentoring and leadership. Having previously established and run profitable financial lines and casualty portfolios, including his previous successful underwriting agency where he was Director and Head of Underwriting, Lewis understands the importance of high service and considered underwriting. Lewis pays particular focus on sustainable portfolio structuring, capacity management, distribution, and effective broker and client engagement. He is keen to get amongst it and do what he does best, supporting our brokers and the Artisan team.

John Edmond
Founding Partner - Legal
John has worked in insurance for more than 35 years. His first job was in Essex in the policy signing office of a large UK life insurer.
Since then John has become a recognised expert in insurance law in Australia and the UK. Having trained in London, he became a happy migrant to Australia in 1998. He led the insurance practice group at Allens in Australia and set up the Australian offices of Clyde & Co. Today, he is the chairman of the national law firm Gilchrist Connell.
John is highly regarded across all classes of insurance and reinsurance. He brings to Artisan a depth of experience in coverage, as well as having a commercial approach to quickly resolving insurance claims, and delivering our clients outstanding service.

Carlos De La Cruz
Financial Lines Manager
One of the coolest names in insurance. With a breadth of experience across all market segments (SME, mid-market and corporate), and having worked for both large international Insurers and MGA's, Carlos' experience provides our brokers an effective and pragmatic approach across all our financial lines products. He loves meeting new brokers, building relationships and doing a deal. His calm and balanced apprach to his underwriting makes him a serious weapon for our brokers, and their clients.
When Carlos isnt crafting up quotes, youll find him staying active at the nearest gym or getting amongst it in the great outdoors.

Maxwell Hall
Underwriter - Financial Lines and Casualty
Fiercely competitive, and yet gentle natured, Max is as sharp as a teppanyaki chefs knife. Max is a seriously focussed and attention to detail oriented operator, who you'll you want on your team! Having previously spent 4 years as a broker for one of the largest privately held brokers in Australia, Max brings experience across both schemes and binders and micro, SME and Mid-Market placements. Max is seriously customer service driven, and for those who know him, know that he goes above and beyond for any of his clients. Reach out to Max today and I'm sure you'll enjoy his energetic, considered and quick approach to underwriting. Similarly with De La Cruz, on the rare chance Max isn't thinking about Insurance, you'll likely find him pumping iron at one of the local gyms.

- Client Services Executive
Cassie is all for the client. Having started her insurance career at W.R Berkley back in 2011, Cassie brings our brokers a wealth of insurance administration experience. With a strong sense of urgency and naturally caring and gentle nature, Cassie is perfect to assist with all your queries. When Cass isn't responding to emails or calls, supporting our brokers or assisting the team, she can be found volunteering at the schools, or juggling her own two young kids. Cassie continues to work part time as a disability care worker, an area she is passionate about. We're lucky to have you, Cass, and so are our brokers!
